Dearest Annie,
Thank you so very much for your good wishes and most importantly for your amazing work on my husband's wedding gift. It is truly a work of art, one which he will cherish forever. It turned out so much better than I could have ever imagined it.
Thank you. Two simple words that will never express the tremendous joy you
have given me. It felt so wonderful to give Ramiro such a beautiful gift. He absolutely loved it, he was floored by the beauty and amazed by the craftsmanship. He just could not believe his eyes. It was amazing to see him so surprised. I owe you so much. I have told everyone I know about you and Annie O's.
I wish you continued success in your business and hope to order several more from you real soon. This was just a beginning to a wonderful collection Ramiro has dreamed of for many years.
Thank you again.

I recieved the shaft on saturday. After several hours of practice I have to admit that your claims are true. I am pleased. ...
The shaft fits fine and the ring is a little to red, but that doesn't matter much to me. The design works, now I have to learn to adjust for curve when using low english. With the predator the curve and squirt mostly cancelled each other out. Now there seems to be little or no squirt (deflection). I will have to start blaming something else now when I miss.
Thanks.

As an intermedicate player for the last 20 years on a 4-1/2 x 9 foot table, I have come to realize that the shaft is the most important part of the cue. It determines deflection of the cue ball. We all know that no two shafts hit alike. I have hit with every cue known from to ,000, and then one day, I hit with an Annie O 35 laminant shaft. It is truly a magic wand and wonderful shaft to play with. Just aim the cue ball where you want it to go, stoke straight through and you've got it. Your half table game - there is no deflection that I can find. Your English, especially on draw and follow, will go up at least 10% to 20%. This feedback is unsolicited and I hope appreciated by all that read it. Trust me, very seldom does one pool player tell another one anything that is true, but since I do not gamble, I just play for the love of it, I am passing this on to all. This is one great shaft! Miss out on this and you have missed out.

John Karas:
Dear Annie,
First of all let me say, I was a little reluctant to order a cue stick sight unseen thru the web. Simple things like dark, light, taper, and wrapping can have a broad range for interpretation. After talking with you several times your professionalism somewhat eased my mind, but still was a little nervous about how this would all end up.
When the cue arrived, it was a really happy surprise, how well it turned out. It was exactly what I wanted. From the color of the wood to the leather wrap, the weight and the length. Everything was "PERFECT".
The final test was to play now . You included one of your 35 layer laminated shafts. Wow what a difference!. it took a few hours to get used to it and have confidence in it. But it sure makes playing a lot easier not compensating for deflection. I have since ordered an additional shaft. Can't imagine ever going back to just a standard shaft.
Playing in a league here in the city, the cue has gotten a lot of complements from fellow players. Then the typical questions, "where did you get it?", "How much did it cost?". I always tell them Annie Oakley Mayes out of Houston. Hope this can bring you some additional business you deserve it. Even the local billiard supply company commended you on your work.
All in all just wanted to say thank you & wish you success.
Sincerely,

Annie,
Just wanted to let you know that I got the Nightstick
today (AO5). My first thought after opening the package was that
it's the most beautiful pool cue I've ever seen. Then I hit
it, and wow. Solid and controllable, with great balance and
all the power of a freight train.
The Lam35 shaft is going
to take a little getting used to, as I hung a lot of shots
and nipped a bunch of corners (though I was on, according to
the owner of Brighton Billiards, one of the "two tightest
tables in the Boston area").
Everyone who saw it loved it,
and when I let one of my friends try it, his response was,
"Sweet!" Now I can't wait for the break stick!
Thanks,

Scott Beams Note: By special request, Scotts's shaft is 14mm (and... I built the cue 4 times to get it right because he wanted it to be 17oz)
Hello Annie,
I see that you have a picture of my 8 point Purple Heart Cue Stick on your website, but you forgot to mention who designed it. The stick is just fabulous and I could have looked forever and not found a stick nearly as perfect as the "Scott Beams 8 Point Purple Heart" 14 mm shaft with the soft tip. I will never need another stick or even look for one. My game has improved immensley because of the balance, sleekness, and workmanship that you put into finalizing the stick. I thought that 3 times was a charm, but you proved that 4 times was the number it took to complete this beautiful pool shooting machine.
Shari just loves her "Night Stick" (AO5) as much as I do mine. We went to North Carolina on vacation and we took our sticks and everybody asked where and who made them and how much they cost. They were really impressed with the art on the Night Stick of Shari's. Everybody thought my stick was too "Phat". I took that as a compliment...hahaha
Now, let's get down to business. I want to try one of your AO NT35 Shafts. Yes I want it to be 14 mm also. Don't you just love pool players??? Anyways, email me back, I will buy one for me, he he, don't tell Shari, because she will want one too. Hope to hear from you soon.
